Use the hook on the pliers' end to pull out the tab to unlock, and then use the tip to lock the tab. Squeeze the tabs together and lift to separate the connector from the sensor without damaging it.
Allows the technician to use the tool with one hand and work with sensors in tight spaces. The tool is 8" long and has dual durometer grips for comfort.
